Well, there are of course several different types of cabbage and each contains a different amount of carbs. Here’s roughly how many carbs are in cabbage for each type:
The common green cabbage contains a little more than 5 grams of carbs per 100 grams.
Red cabbage contains about 7 grams of carbs per 100 grams.
Savoy cabbage contains about 6 grams of carbs per 100 grams.
Chinese cabbage, more commonly known as bok-choy, contains about 2 grams of carbs 100 gram.
Cabbage is suitable for a low carb diet with there being about 5 grams of carbs per 100 grams of green cabbage. Cabbage is also low in calories and is packed with nutritional benefits too, making it a great healthy food choice for all, whether on a diet or not.
