A player wins a game of tennis when they win four points. The points system goes: love (zero), 15, 30, 40 and then the point that wins the game.
If a player is leading 40-30 and then loses the next point to their opponent, the score then becomes 40-40 and at that point a player must win two consecutive points to win the game. The 40-40 score is what is known as deuce in tennis.
